Media Coordinator and Technology Facilitator at Alexander Graham Middle School (Charlotte NC). I am also an adjunct faculty member at the University of North Carolina with the MLIS program. My teaching areas include Children's Literature and Collection Development. My research interest includes Information Literacy K12, Emerging Trends in School Librarianship, and the Digital Reading Habits of Children and Young Adults. I am the past NCSLMA Legislative Chair and the new NCSLMA Education Section chair. I am also currently serving on the ALA Rainbow List Committee, AASL Knowledge Quest Blogger, and the ALSC Grant Committee. Credentials: Doctor of Education in Education Leadership from Western Carolina University, Graduate Certificate in Instructional Technology from Appalachian State University, and a Masters in Library and Information Studies from UNC Greensboro.
